Kara Douglass Thom

Kara is an active-living advocate who writes and speaks about fitting fitness into life and mentoring movement to others. She is a former group-fitness instructor, turned endurance athlete, turned fit mom of four. In addition to the Go! Go! Sports Girl series, she is the author of one other children’s book; See Mom Run, and two books for adults; Becoming an Ironman: First Encounters with the Ultimate Endurance Event and Hot (Sweaty) Mamas: Five Secrets to Life as a Fit Mom, which she co-wrote. Kara lives in the Minneapolis area and also organizes her children's school 5K fundraiser and coaches an after-school fitness and empowerment class for girls.

Pamela is an experienced art director, designer, and illustrator with a passion for children’s products. She creates engaging and dynamic layouts, designs, and illustrations for books and interactive games, as well as toy, craft, candy, and giftware packaging. She lives in the Chicago area.

Susan Rich Brooke writes and edits books for children of all ages, and develops content for interactive educational toys and apps, such as the Sesame Street Potty Time with Elmo app (Phoenix International Publications, Inc., 2015). She has edited everything from newsletters to newstand magazines to websites. She lives in the Chicago area.
